Jeez. I just started reading the comments you've been receiving. I expected you might get some bad one, but wow. Again, these things can be cultural. In France, in Hungary, in much of the world, having a lover is a private affair. It is understood that we don't own one another. All over the world people afford their partners respect and privacy. No one wants to cheat. No one wants to fall out of love with their partners, or be alone and untouched for years. In some parts of the world, the family unit is sacrosanct. You stay married to protect that family institution. You have your lovers. You do not bring them home. You keep your life private and disciplined. Not ideal, but not necessarily worse than this North American willingness to blow up the family when these things occur.
